Hand-painted Santhal Art Kashmiri Woolen Dupatta - Dancing Tribe
This hand-painted and handwoven dupatta is an unusual surreal Kalighat, done in black and white. Here the local folk tale of wedding ceremony of fishes has been depicted. The Kosa silk gives a rich texture and brings the fishes to life on the dupatta. It can be used as add-ons to any attire to give an ethnic look.

The Art:
Santhal art is the depiction of way of life of the Santhal Tribe, their cultural heritage and their tradition. It is believed that their origins are pre-historic dating back thousands of years, much before the Dravidians or the Aryans.
