It is very common for them to carry multiple pots simultaneously to avoid multiple trips. The facial expression of woman aptly captures her belief in this painting. The painting is made on hand-made paper and comes without a frame.

Madhubani Art dates back to the epochal period of Ramayana. According to mythology, King Janak ordered his subjects to decorate the entire town during Sita’s swayamvar. Since women generally stayed indoor, they decorated the walls with beautiful paintings.
