Hand-painted "Manjusha Art" Coasters from Bihar
A set of 4 hand-painted coasters depicting Champa flowers in Manjusha style. These flowers with borders are most common motif in the art. The borders form integral part of Manjusha Art. This art form has originated in Bhagalpur to celebrate and worship Mansa Devi, the main goddess of people of Ang Pradesh (modern day Eastern Bihar, Jharkhand and parts of Bengal).
These coasters have been beautifully hand-painted on handmade paper and hot pressed to make it waterproof.
This is made by the local artist from Bhagalpur (previously Ang Pradesh) where the art has originated.
