Hand painted "Manjusha Art" Coasters from Bihar
A set of 4 hand-painted coasters depicting characters of folklore of Bihula - Bishari. Important characters were Chandu saudagar, Bala Lakhendra, Nathula Dhobin & Bihula. This art is originated from a folklore of Bihula-Bishari in Ang region. The art is being currently practiced by two families - namely Kumbhakar & Malakar.
These coasters have been beautifully hand-painted on handmade paper and hot pressed to make it waterproof.
This is made by the local artist from Bhagalpur (previously Ang Pradesh) where the art has originated.
