Hand-painted "Tikuli Art" Coasters from Bihar
A set of 6 hand-painted coasters that depicts a bride with jaimala,”garland”. Jaimala is an indian wedding ritual where bride and groom exchange garlands. It is believed that Sita garlanded Rama after he strung Shiva's bow at her swayamvara and the practice has been repeated since then.
These coasters have been beautifully hand-painted on wooden base with the help of enamel paint.
This is made by the local artist from Patna where the art has originated.
