Hand-painted "Pattachitra Art" Table Lamp - Krishna-Radha
Hand-painted lamp depicting Radha Krishna love story on its sides. Lord Krishna was extremely popular among the young gopis and they went out of their household chores to meet their beloved and affectionate Krishna. The painting is done on tassar silk and the lamp frame is made of teak wood.

Pattachitra paintings can be traced back to the establishment of the shire of Lord Jagannath at Puri in Odisha. The legend goes that this all started with an annual temple ritual that required the deities to be displaced for cleansing. Pattachitras were used to temporarily fill in their place while the ceremony was performed. The basic tales drawn revolves around the life of Lord Jagannath.
The paintings on the lamp has been made by Bhagwati Prasad Dass from Bhubaneswar.
