Hand-painted "Tikuli Art" Tray from Bihar
A hand-painted tray that depicts a festival season in a village. Celebrations in villages are generally community affair, where everyone works together for the preparation of festivals. The women of the village are incharge of cooking, dance & music. “Dholak” is a very popular folk drum, and is used almost in all folk songs during festivals in northern India.
This tray has been beautifully hand-painted on a wooden base with the help of enamel paint.
This is made by the local artist from Patna where the art has originated.
