This painting depicts Tarpa Dance performed by the tribe. Tarpa is a musical instrument prepared by the Warli themselves. The dance is performed usually in night after the dinner. The movement in the dance is anti-clockwise since Warlis believe that cosmic forces move in anti-clockwise manner. The painting is made on canvas and comes with frame.

The Art:
Warli Painting was originated in Maharastra and derives its name from the tribe. The art was first discovered in early 70’s, however the origin of the art can be dated back to neolithic age. It is mainly done by warli women.
